SLS - Smarter Learning Skills

SLS Training was set up in 1996 by Sharon Lee Sheather, following 20 years of working in the retail, care and business sectors. SLS Training is part of a family group of businesses, SKILS Ltd, the first of these businesses was established in 1979.

Sharon says "I set the company up as I felt that there was very little tailored, one-to-one training available to help people. My aim was, and still is, to be recognised as an exceptional and effective provider of tailor made training."

"By working one-to-one or in a very small group, the individual is able to learn at their own pace, concentrate on what they need to know and pick up new skills quickly to get the best possible outcome in the shortest possible time."

Sharon gives a proportion of her time to help local community and voluntary organisations such as:

• Gloucestershire Young People of the Year
• Children's Centres
• Charlton Kings Youth Club
• Education Business Partnership

 

She is also a Gloucestershire Ambassador:

• Director of Northern Arc
• Vice Chair of Fair Play South West
• Member of Prowess
• Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Manufacture and Commerce

Sharon is ably supported by a great team of people. Matt Tope, Operations' Manager and Sue Smith, Office Manager, both ensure that everyone at SLS has what is needed to provide a first class service to each and every customer. Quarterly training days give everyone the opportunity to share skills, experiences, knowledge and ideas as well as keeping up to date with the latest information on good working practices.
